From December 14, 2024, to February 15, 2025, qualifying items are GST/HST exempt under the
For all Canadian retailers including ourselves, from December 14 2024 to February 15, 2025, there will be a GST/HST tax relief applied to specific items we sell. Based on the guidelines posted by the Government of Canada, we have marked all our in-stock items we believe qualify for tax exemption. Tax will not be charged on these items during this time when purchasing in-store or on our website.
Currently, only in-stock items we believe qualify have been marked and will be tax exempted. Also note that this tax break is only on items that are both paid for and delivered during the tax holiday, so pre-order items will be not included in this tax break.
The following is a general level overview of our products that we have found qualify or don't qualify for tax exemption:
Included Items:
- All Toys & Figures for Ages <14 (Action Figures, Funko Pop!)
- All Building Toys for Ages <14 (Model Kits, Lego)
- All Plush Toys
- Most Hasbro Toys
- Most McFarlane Toys
- Most Mattel Toys
- Most Bandai
Not Included Items:
- Anything for ages 14 and up
- Statues and Collectibles figures
- Pre-Orders
- Most toys from Neca, Hot Toys, Sideshow, Tamashii Nations, ect...)
- Most Anime Toys (Exception Anime toys made by Bandai for under 14)
- Anything where the sole purpose is "Collectible".
Please note that we cannot retro-actively make changes to any items that you have purchased in the past. If you believe we have missed marking a specific item for tax relief, please contact us by email at cmdstore.ca@gmail.com BEFORE making your purchase and we will review the item.
