Description: Tony Stark, the brilliant engineer behind the classic red and gold mask of Iron Man, is among the most troubled, the most human, of Marvel heroes and it is perhaps for this reason that he has endured as one of the most popular of the Marvel Legends heroes. Following his capture by warlords in Asia, Stark began work engineering weapons of mass destruction for the foreign government in order to gain their favour and get the life-saving surgery required to remove a piece of shrapnel from his heart. Still in custody, he worked with fellow inmate Ho Yinsen to create an exoskeleton that would render him invulnerable to physical attack: it was this suit that would become the costume of Iron Man upon his escape. Having returned to the United States, Stark and his new alter-ego, Iron Man, made a vow to use his brilliance and power for good and become a hero of men, doing all that he can to right the wrongs of the world while also struggling against his own demons.
Special note: There are two versions of the Ultimate Ironman: 'No mask on face' or 'With Mask on face'....we will fill orders randomly and you will get either one. There is no difference in the two figures...they are exactly the same. The version with 'No Mask' still has the mask in the packaging, however it is just not on his face. We receive both US and Canadian Cases. You will get either English, bilingual or trilingual carded figures based on availability. Please understand this before ordering.
